The incumbent for sheriff in Graham County lost Tuesday night in a runoff election. In the May primary, John Crisp had three more votes than Stan Moody. Tuesday night, Moody was the clear winner with 53% of the vote. In Jackson County, Abigail Clayton won Tuesday night in the runoff for the District 02 Board of Education seat. Lisa Buchanan received the most votes in the May primary, but she did not get more than 50%. Tuesday night, Clayton was the clear winner with 59% of the vote.
