MAGGIE VALLEY, N.C. (WLOS) – For the first time in years, Maggie Valley has an updated zoning blueprint to guide growth. Maggie Valley’s mayor said the old Unified Development Ordinance was out of date and the one recently passed nearly tripled the number of zoning districts. He said the UDO has needed upgrading for the last seven years, adding developing the new land-use plan will take about a year.
