Cherokee County man linked to weekend homicide

CHEROKEE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) – A Cherokee County man linked to a weekend homicide has been arrested. The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to reports of a deceased person early Saturday morning [June 25[ at a Marble, North Carolina, residence on High Falls Road where they found the body of Erick Lowe. The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation was requested to assist in the investigation and, Hayden Drake Norris, 24, of Andrews, was quickly identified as a suspect. The 24 year old was taken into custody and charged with murder. He’s currently being held at the Cherokee County Detention Center without bond. Norris is scheduled to be in Cherokee County District Court on Tuesday [June 28].
