Renovations at Cherokee Central School were abruptly halted after mold was found on the 13-year-old campus. Contractrors found dampness on the walls of the old central office building, and mold and mildew inside them, a press release states. Officials said the surprise delay will likely push the project back several months, as the school system works to evaluate the extent and cause of the problem and assess the other buildings on campus.
