The community came out to support the second annual WNC Drug Awareness Walk & Event on Sunday. Participants walked down Main Street in Waynesville to raise awareness around substance abuse and its tragic impacts on families in Western North Carolina. The event was put on by SeekHealing Haywood, a nonprofit organization in Waynesville that provides a number of services for those struggling with addiction and substance abuse. Over 200 people participated in last year’s event.
