The long-awaited Chestnut Mountain Nature Park just outside Canton will open to the public this weekend. A family-friendly grand opening will be held this Saturday, April 23, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with live music, vendors and multiple activities will be going on, including an Earth Day celebration. The grand opening marks the completion of the project’s first phase of the 450-acre conservation-friendly, community-centric space for outdoor recreation. The town plans to open more trails, recreation areas and park amenities over the next two years.
