Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics kicks off next week

The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics kicks off next week. On Monday at 9:30 a.m., representatives from six local agencies will take a turn carrying the “Flame of Hope,” at the start of the event, with various officers of those agencies plus representatives from the State Bureau of Investigation, Southwestern Community College and others taking up the torch at SMHS. Traffic interruptions will be minimal, the JCSO said in a release. The torch will carry on east following the run through Sylva.
