Future of the Canton Town Hall remains up for debate

CANTON – The future of the Canton Town Hall remains up for debate. Following the August 2021 flooding, FEMA declared the Canton town hall “substantially damaged” which officials say affords them to relocate the facility, but until they know what that will cost they can’t determine how much money they’ll have to work with. However, one thing they do know is that both town hall and the police department will be relocating.

Meanwhile…

Town services should be consolidated in a single area by next week when the administrative offices move into the $105,000 temporary pod setup near the town garage, which will now offer a single site to serve town residents. The police department moved into its side of the structure last week.
