A Sylva park is getting a makover

A Sylva park is getting a makover. The Town of Sylva has received a three million dollar grant from the state for repairs and improvements to Bryson Park on Chipper Curve Road, after several slides between the Park and Allen Street forced its closure for the past two years. Over two million dollars will be used for the repair, expansion, and paving of the parking lot, repairs to the pavilion and bathrooms, new playground equipment and basketball court, and the construction of a sidewalk from Chipper Curve Road to the pavilion. Once the design is approved by the state work can begin possibly as early as July, according to a release to the press.
