The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office has made an additional arrest in a detention center drug smuggling case.
Dakota Allen Cagle was arrested last week [Feb. 23] for his alleged part in the scheme to distribute drugs among JCSO Detention Center inmates. The 28 year old Sylva suspect was being held on a $30,000 bond. More than a dozen others have been charged in the distribution ring uncovered after an inmate overdosed on Christmas Day.
