The Jackson County Public School system is in desperate need of bus drivers. School officials say the need is so great others are pitching in to take on additional routes outside of their expected duties, including custodians, faculty and some administrative staff. JCPS needs about 12 drivers, according to a press release.
In addition to doubling up on routes, buses are packed with as many students as possible, and some kids have to get up earlier. Anyone interested in driving a bus can visit jcpsnc.org.
