The Jackson County Board of Education voted unanimously to extend its mask mandate for all public school buildings for another month. According to a report this week, there are more than 2 dozen active cases which is better than a couple of weeks ago when numbers between staff and students were in the 80s, with 60 students infected. Many attribute the mask safety measure for the decling cases. The Board will examine the issue again at its Feb. 22 meeting.
