Construction is fully underway at two of four Jackson County Schools to heighten safety measures. That’s according to an update the board got from the contractor doing the $7 million dollar project, who said single-entry points are being constructed at four county schools, including Smoky Mountain High and Elementary, along with Blue Ridge and Fairview schools, joining the system’s other five schools that already have the single-points of entry.
