HAYWOOD COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) – Rush hour motorists found themselves at a standstill when a tractor-trailer crash forced part of I-40 in Haywood County to shutdown. Interstate 40 East near Canton was closed Monday night after a crash involving a tractor-trailer about 6:45 p.m. near Mile Marker 33 (Newfound Road). The freeway was reopened after about 4 hours. There were no reports of injuries.
