Boaters will have to wait till the spring to get on Lake Junaluska which will soon be high and dry. The lake will be off limits during a draw down and maintenance project which will allow for the removal of silt from the lake’s floor as well as repairs, and litter cleanup. Richland Creek will not be affected. The Lake Junaluska walking path will remain open to the public. Work is expected to be completed and the lake refilled by Easter.
