Western Carolina University students looking for jobs are getting some help. A group spearheaded by the director of the Main Street Sylva Association, hopes to bridge the gap between employers experiencing staff shoratges and graduates seeking employment, with the launch of a central job posting site at WCU for local employers. The site would act as a one stop shop, allowing students to apply for all the different types of positions with one application. The job areas students might apply for are primarily tourism-based, such as guest services, housekeeping, food preparation, waiters/waitresses, chefs, line-cooks, bartenders, baristas and cashiers.
