RALEIGH – Thanks to some much needed rain over the weekend, the N.C. Forest Service has lifted a ban on all open burning as of noon Monday, Dec. 13. The ban went into effect just after Thanksgiving [Nov. 29] due to hazardous forest fire conditions. The ban was lifted for 67 other counties last week [Dec. 8]. Burn permits are available statewide.
