(WGHP) – North Carolina state employees will be getting a paycheck boost just in time for Christmas. North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper recently approved the state budget, which includes bonuses for most employees who were working for the state as of Dec. 1, and will mean 5% pay raises over two years plus a $1,000 bonus. Those making under $75,000 and working in law enforcement will see an additional $500 bonus. Monthly paid employees will see more money in their Dec. 23 paychecks.
