Sylva leaders passed a Resolution of Support and Acceptance of Funds for a $5000 Jackson County Municipal Grant at the Dec. town board meeting. The hope is to secure the grant for street improvements, after leaders received complaints about the condition of the Jackson Street sidewalk. The resolution authorized town staff to apply for the grant and use it for the sidewalk repairs. The resolution passed unanimously.
