Environmental study approved ahead of Pinnacle Park project

Ahead of a proposed multi use trail network, the Pinnacle Park Foundation and the town of Sylva approved a resolution allowing for a botanical survey of mountainsides in Pinnacle Park and several adjacent properties. In June, Sylva lawyer Jay Coward, head of the PPF, requested the board hold off on the plans for a system of about 35 miles of multi-use trails until the study is complete to determine environmental impacts.
