WAYNESVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) – An apartment complex is being proposed on 10 acres in Waynesville.
Proposed Waynesville apartment complex on 10 acres heads to planning board for vote
It’s at the intersection of Howell Mill Road and the old Asheville Highway.
A public hearing was held Monday about the plans.
Elizabeth Teague, the development services director for the Town of Waynesville, says it would offer a large living space for residents in the area.
“This project would create 150 new rental units as part of an apartment complex,” Teague says. “It would include a clubhouse, it would include some other amenities. It would be multiple buildings on this site.”
The planning board will now vote on whether to move on with the project.
If it passes the application process, the developers will have to submit building permits, erosion control permits and any local, state and federal permits that are required.
