Harris Regional has joined thousands of hospitals across the U.S. to support a federal mask mandate implementef to help stop the spread of COVID. Harris employees are required to have received their first dose of the vaccine by Dec. 6. Those opting for the two-dose regimen are required to be fully vaccinated by Jan. 4.
“Rare” exemptions may be permitted for medical or religious reasons, according to reports. Staff who refuse to comply by the December and January deadlines could result in them being placed on unpaid leave. An employee’s continued refusal could ultimately result in termination.
