COVID cases in Jackson County have been listed with a high community transmission rate. However, the CDC reports Jackson County cases are falling. Nov. 4 saw only one case reported, the lowest total since no cases were reported July 2-8.

Kid doses of the COVID-19 vaccines are now being administered to children ages 5-11. The FDA and CDC authorized and recommended the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines for children in that age group. Jackson County Department of Public Health youth vaccine clinics kicked off yesterday [Nov. 15] and are scheduled to run through Dec. 4.
