Shooting incient led to lockdown at East Franklin Elementary

FRANKLIN, N.C. (WLOS) — Reports of a shooting led to a lockdown at East Franklin Elementary School on Thursday. Macon County deputies and Franklin police were at the school near Biltmore Baptist Church, which is close to where the shooting was reported. Officers later found a vehicle that left the scene of the shooting, but it was abandoned. Authorities have questioned two people, but no charges have been filed. No injuries were reported. The investigations is ongoing.
