Republican Rep. Madison Cawthorn, who has previously been warned by law enforcement about bringing weapons on school grounds, has been seen again at an education facility with what was described as a “combat” dagger. Cawthorn, a national right-wing political figure, on Oct. 5 had what looked to be a switchblade combat dagger in his pocket in the health and human sciences conference room of Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, according to pictures and video by David Wheeler, the president of a super PAC that has been documenting his violations. Cawthorn was speaking at a meeting of the conservative college group Turning Point USA.
