More than a dozen fraud and identity theft charges have been filed against a Swain County woman. Cheryl Dion Cole is accused of stealing from acquaintances, pawning the stolen goods, and impersonating one of her friends to finance several shopping trips and get cash last summer. The 38 year old’s alleged crimes led to charges from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Cherokee Indian Police Department and Sylva Police Department. She remained in the Jackson County Detention Center on a $115,000 bond Wednesday.
