Maggie Valley Board greenlights proposed RV park

MAGGIE VALLEY – A long-vacant piece of land between Citgo and Maggie Valley Creekside Lodge could someday be home to a new type of RV park. The Maggie Valley Board of Adjustments green-lighted a proposal to install 15 RV lots on the 1.336 acre site previously approved for 13 units. The maximum allowed on the property would be 18 units. Only Class A, B and C recreational vehicles would be permitted in the “planned unit development, or PUD, and each lot will have a water and sewer hookup, to allow the lots to be sold individually instead of rented. An RV PUD requires a special exception to the zoning rules. How the development would ultimately look will be up for review.
