Jackson County seeking community input on UDO changes

The Jackson County Board of Commissioners has set a hearing to listen to public feedback on proposed changes to the county’s Unified Development Ordinance. Some of the changes are mandated by the state while others are part of the Planning Department’s ongoing effort to keep the UDO streamlined. The UDO, created a few years ago, consolidates all the counties development ordinances under one umbrella, and any changes at the state level require the county to update its UDO to reflect those amendments. The hearing is set for Nov. 2 before the regular commissioners meeting.
