CANTON, N.C. (WLOS) — Hope for Haywood has raised more than $1.1 million for flood recovery efforts in Haywood County. According to the United Way of Haywood County, $1,152,066.14 has been collected for rebuilding homes and busninesses, and for other long-term recovery needs in communities that were hard hit by flooding and devastation left in the wake of Tropical Storm Fred.
