Good news on the COVID front

Good news on the COVID front. Cases are continuing to decline following the Sept. 11 report of more than 11,000 cases – the third highest in the state – North Carolina reported about 2,200 on Monday. Similarly, on Sept. 7, Jackson County reported 57, its fourth highest one-day total. Over the last week, the highest daily report was 28 on Sept. 28, with only eight reported Monday.

MEANWHILE…

As of Wednesday morning, Jackson County Public Schools reported two staff and non-staff cases and 33 student cases. Last week’s numbers were two and 17, respectively. On Sept. 22, JCPS reported 85 student cases. Jackson Community School, Jackson County Early College, Blue Ridge School and Blue Ridge Early College report no active cases.
