COVID vaccines for kids are nearing FDA approval. Pfizer said this week they would request emergency use for their COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5-11 in the coming days. It took the FDA a month to approve the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for the 12-15 age group. If that timeline is followed, younger children could start receiving shots in late October.
