The design phase of the new Jackson County indoor pool at the Cullowhee Recreation Center is almost finished. The Board of Commissioners recently got an update from developers who said they took feedback from the community as to how the building should look. The next step in the process is to complete the construction documents which must be approved by the county. Those could be completed by April, officials said, adding the project can then be sent out for bids, likely in May or June. Construction is projected to be complete in late 2023 or early 2024.
