PLANS ARE IN THE WORKS TO REVIVE THE OLD MAGGIE VALLEY THEME PARK

MAGGIE VALLEY, N.C. (WLOS) – PLANS ARE IN THE WORKS TO REVIVE THE OLD MAGGIE VALLEY THEME PARK. Maggie Valley’s “Ghost Town in the Sky,” a once-packed tourist attraction, now sits vacant and overgrown, just off U.S. Route 19. But, according to a Ghost Town spokesperson, wheels are in motion to bring the old western-themed amusement park back to life, as part of a bigger plan to bring affordable housing, business opportunities and revenue-generating ventures back to the town once home to North Carolina’s “mile-high theme park.”
