CANTON, NC (FOX Carolina) – Haywood County residents impacted by severe storms still have a chance to get some help with repairs. Haywood County Emergency Services said Tuesday they are extending the Crisis Cleanup Hotline deadline for anyone who needs assistance with damage form the flooding in Western North Carolina. Residents can call emergency services to be connected with volunteers who may be able to help with cleanup, including, cutting fallen trees, Drywall, flooring & appliance removal, Tarping roofs, and removing Mold. All services are free but aren’t guaranteed due to an overwhelming need, officials said. The hotline deadline will now go up until Friday, Sept. 10, a media release states.
