A Buncombe County woman has been sentenced to more than a year in prison in an elder abuse case.The district attorney said Rachael Scott used a Taser on her mother and assaulted her. He said Scott also stole her mother’s bank card and used it without her permission.Scott, 50, of Black Mountain, will spend at least 19 months in prison after pleading guilty on Tuesday to felony abuse of an elderly person inflicting serious personal injury.
