Western Carolina University has turned a study space into a COVID-19 vaccine clinic. 500 doses of the Moderna vaccine were shipped in straight from the supplier… delivered to WCU’s Health and Human Science building this week. The university is partnering with the Jackson County Health Department to vaccine some of the 7-thousand people who are on the county’s waiting list. WCU says it hopes to continue receiving 500 doses per day. Another 250 people are scheduled to get shots in their arms today. The clinic will open to the greater public once larger shipments of the vaccine become available.
